I had to chuckle. After posting the last update, I looked over the new comments and had to laugh! Someone had just bugged me to update, so I figured I would give a more indepth update.
House hunting is literally driving me batty. I haven’t been home for a full weekend in the past four weeks [...]

Well, they’re not the prettiest things in the world, but they’re warm and they were a tremendous learning experience! Please excuse the poor shots. Our digital is a bit outdated, but at least it works!
This next pick was before I tied in the tails.
The only complaints I have:
1. Holes at the top of the diagonal. [...]
So no spinning wheel…

Talked to the MIL earlier….come to find out, the spinning wheel was literally just that: the wheel. Oh well. I showed Joe what a drop spindle is and a few videos on how those are used and he’s so excited about me learning how to do it (and possibly him) that we’re going out later [...]

I talking to Joe earlier today, I mentioned how I would love to get a spinning wheel sometime but would have to start with a drop spindle, since that’s a measly $20 dollars compared to $800+. Well…he remembered that his mom had a spinning wheel in the attic that no one is using or wants. [...]
So I was thumbing through some magazines…

I was looking through some magazines at the book store and found a copy of Crochet Today! As much as I loved one of the patterns in there, I couldn’t see spending the money for the magazine when I could find the pattern online (not to mention I don’t have the money for the yarn [...]
Time for some pictures….I hope you like!

Well, as it has been asked, here it is: the first picture of my first sock. I really hate our digital camera and it hates me, so you’ll have to bear with the crappy photography.
My only issue so far was that there was a larger hole at the top of the diagonal than what I [...]
Weekend Update
Posted in Uncategorized, tagged crafts, wedding on February 4, 2008 | 2 Comments »
This weekend was a very well rounded one, I dare say. I was able to spend sometime with a wonderful new-found friend at a cute little knitting shop in Orono. (A shop which I have a feeling will now see more of my money than I can afford.) I also was able to buy some [...]
Addictions anew!

I wish I could say that I really don’t have any addictions, but the unfortunate thing is that I do…and too many! I guess it works out for the best, however. I’ve really needed a weekend of nothing but vegging and this sinus bug is giving me just that! One of my most recurring addictions is [...]
Everything under the sun is beautiful in it’s own…

Well, visiting the family proved to be a major blast! Among the great things that I recieved, some of the best really surprised me! For one, Mom and Dad, knowing how I’ve been wanting to update my wardrobe to a more career oriented one, gave me a decent chunk of money in the form of [...]
Here we go again.

Last year there was one storm where it took our plow guy (hired by the landlord that lives out of state) four days to come plow. By then we had packed down a lot of the snow in our various attempts of coming and going. Right now there stands eight inches on snow in my [...]
