A Mouse's Tale

Random scurryings of a writer.

Here we go again.

Last year there was one storm where it took our plow guy (hired by the landlord that lives out of state) four days to come plow. By then we had packed down a lot of the snow in our various attempts of coming and going. Right now there stands eight inches on snow in my driveway….unplowed. We moved the cars out earlier, knowing that the plow guy would not come by in a timely fashion. This was the same plow guy that our landlord said we may be having replaced due to last year’s issues. Go figure that he’s still here and nothing has changed.

On that same note, I did a lot of crafting on my snow-day. I’ve done the base coat on a few different ornaments and the afghan for Willow is now nearly a foot long. Seeing how I only started the afghan on…I think Saturday…..I seem to be making pretty good time on it.

Hmmm… sounds like our plow man. As we were just about to finish yesterday’s 5am shoveling, he shows up, but we were already just about done. Then nothing all day. We were lucky when the grandfather of the little kids next door came to plow their driveway, he did ours too. That was a help, but it still ended up with a shoveling total of four times between yesterday and today. Man, do I ache!

Heh. Well, he finally did show up, but not until 11. Needless to say, I was asleep and Joe was getting ready for bed, so the cars did not get moved back into the driveway. All in all, that might be a good thing, since it looks like we got another 4 -5 inches since then.
